I don't see Hallllll signing in EDM, not unless it's about the same salary with it mostly being in signing bonus and for 7 years - not 4 years as you're suggesting. As well as a NMC. And even with that offer, Hall might chose to sign with another team over EDM because of the drama of once already being traded by EDM.

well i guess we'll just see what happens. i dont really see anyone giving him $10M for 7 years, an intelligent GM wouldnt sign him longer than 5 years. on a 7 year deal i dont think he should make more than 7.5 if im being honest, he is going to decline fast and hard

I really like the 3rd line, but that 4th - woof! Who is going to kill penalties?? I suggest ditching Gagner, Nygard and Haas and retaining Sheahan, Archibald and Khaira.

Special teams is the main reason why the team is doing so well this year, don't throw out the guys that are doing the trench work to make the PK great.

He already is this year. I wouldn't give him anywhere near $10M either, even if he was fully recovered from last year's knee injury. But someone might...

yknow what, thats a really good point and sometimes i forget that 5v5 rates and such are great until your special teams get slapped. id be open to keeping sheahan as the 4c and one of archibald bc he'll be cheaper than khaira. id have cirelli killing penalties for sure though.

Zuccarello got $6 million for 5 years this offseason and he's 33 years old and the smallest player in the league. Hall is getting 7 years near $10 million and after already being traded by EDM a first time... A NMC. Not to mention being paid mostly in signing bonus instead of throughout the season.

That's not why he got fired. Zuccarello is actually worth the contract he received.

barely on pace for 40pts as a 33 year old with 4 more years after this one is worth it?? glad you're not a GM

Zucc's much better than Lucic. EDM should keep going with the youth movement that they've been so successful with for so many years. As for GM's... You do realise EDM had the worst GM in the league up until this season. EDM would have been better off with a pet rock than their former GM... "Glad you're not a GM", (Ignorant fool) Let's see what EDM's record is come the trade deadline... A couple of their top players get hurt and they'll be sellers at the trade deadline, not buyers.

See what I mean? 8:53 of 4v5 time last night + 2 full minutes of 3v5. The Oilers allowed just 5 shots on goal and no goals. PK ability is HUGE.

I agree that Cirelli should be a good addition. No idea what the right price is, but I do think he's a good target. And he's the same age as McDavid, so he fits right into the core.

oh yeah, i dont see any good reason tampa gets rid of him unless theyre insanely cap strapped (they will be) and cant move anyone else.
