I’d feel better with 5.25x3

Too much term, actually just too much in general. Happy to have him on board, but I just kind of feel like 5x4.5 would have been more reasonable. Oh well. Not a big enough overpay to get hung up on.

Actually, the more i think about it, Coyle is a pretty similar player to Kevin Hayes. He got like 300 million dollars. Good deal.

I don’t know why he signed it. Great deal for Boston.

With Coyle signed (and noted salary @ $5.25 M) does that mean Krug (@ $5.25 M) is gone?

Hayes is my comparable and Coyle is a right shot and can play the wing. Great deal. Bruins players that stay show how much winning is worth to them because everyone on the team takes a pay cut to stay and be competitive.

If Krug takes $7.5m or less he can stay. I actually think he will sign for $6.5-7m to stay in Boston.

Wagner probably signed due too: hometown/Mass.-based player, the team is successful and looks to be for a couple of years at least, he has good line-mates (akin to the "Merlot") and he has an impt. role under this coach. Sure he might have chased a bit more money elsewhere but some stupid coach/GM would probably have him munching stale popcorn in the press box...
