Montreal is better off in the long run keeping Poehling, Brook and that 1st rounder but I think it's quite fair. Ghost is worth an under-performing yet still young Top 6 forward on a team-friendly contract. Rakell comes to mind for me.

Too much for Hall even he signs. He wont resign with the Devils no matter what. Take out Josh Brook

In this situation fair value doesn't factor into the equation. Almost every team will put in an offer for Hall so it stops being about value and becomes are you willing to out the others trying land Hall.

What if Hall said what he said to get The Devils to bring in more talent. I'm just saying last year everyone was sure Skinner wouldn't stay in Buffalo.

Montreal rejects. Bergevin isn't going to trade that much future for a 1LW. If he was so desperate for a scoring winger, he would've kept Pacioretty.
