I like the trade. A potential lottery pick, and top 4 LHD, and a good prospect.

I love Domi, don't get me wrong, but this is a serious overpay for him.

I think it's an overpayment for Domi, so yeah, I would take that package.

I'm willing to bet, since Domi's season isn't very impressive so far, that last year was a fluke and he's never gonna put up 70pts again. Ratclife, a 1 st and Ghost is an incredible return.

Deal.

Yeah i know it’s an overpay but that’s about as far as I would go. I just think Domi is a perfect fit for AVs system and would love the Flyers to go after him.

Every player goes through a slump. He's 26 and had 4 near 40 points seasons. You don't just lose that. Domi also isn't really a top 6 forward right now.

People forget he literally put up 65 points on the blue only 2 seasons ago. Seen the flashes this year at times, he just needs to get his head straight and out of a funk.

You are blinded by points.

Of those 4 seasons, Ghost finished 2 of them at -20!!!! Do you understand how much a player must suck to have so many points and yet be so low in the ±? He is a Dman with no defense skill, so unreliable than you need to put him against bottom 6 lines (or out of the lineup), the definition of a Dman 5-7.

Ghost is not in a slump, his defense play always sucked, what changed is that the new coach doesn't tolerate it.

Btw right now Domi is +4, Ghost is -5 ...

When you are talking about a pure offensive defensemen, all I care about it points.

Cmon man +/- comparisons determining how good a player is. The most lazy and irrelevant stat in all of hockey. At least do some research with Advanced Stats and Analytics. Because Ghost in those stats may not knock you out of the water but they are more then serviceable for a top 4 D man with his offensive production. Would just do some research into it before making the assessment Ghost should not even be a top 6 D man.

When you put up tons of points and still happen to be +/- (-) there's something there

He was -20 last season where they used 11 different goalies in a season and was stuck with Andrew McDonald as his D pair. Idk i don’t like the stat.

Easy to put on points when you don't care about defence. Let loose games 6-4! Who cares? I got a 4 points night!

Well Macdonald was +8 that year.... With the same goalies in net, Ghost was on ice for 30 more goals against at even strength in a single season. Who's the weakest link in that pair again?

If you lose 6-4, you don't blame it on that one player, you blame it on the guys who didn't stop the puck from going into the net.

The way you deflect Ghost horrible defense skills is hillarious.

"His teamates are unable to repair his mistakes" is a weak argument.

You are the kind of dude that prefered Ovechkin to Crosby in 2004. Whatever his points stats, he had to start caring about defense (probably sick of seeing Crosby winning cups..) to acheive anything...
