Not sure about cap implications on the other trades but I feel that is too much for Hall.

I really like the MTL and SJS trades. The only thing I would change is switching the 2 picks to a 2021 1st, since we are sending them Palms at a discount. But I might just be greedy.

Also, I don't think we need to do the NYI and WPG trade. We should resign Vats and let Greene walk, unless Greene wants to come back for a paycut. And Boychuk isn't worth anything. I'd rather try and package something together to get Hamilton out of CAR.

I made the Jets trade because I think our d core will be good with the other guys I got. And I made the Islanders trade because I think blackwood and soderstrom will be a really good tandem for us for a long time. I am also a big fan of Bellows and I just hate PK. He is the one player in the NHL I never want on my team.

That NYI trade makes sense then, but I just don't like Boychuk.

I'd try and make this trade for Hamilton instead.

I could work as well but I think a more defensive minded dman would be better and we could draft or sign a guy like that.

Then we could offer that same deal to a team like the Oilers and try and get Nurse.
