First and foremost it’s an overpayment by the Flyers

Secondly we don’t need to add a winger at the expense of 2 defenders plus. Our winger depth is fine as it is. If anything they should probably look to add a defender not move 2 out. Trade makes no sense from a team needs standpoint regardless how good the winger is.

Thirdly. Not the time to move and or give up on Patrick. Wait and see would be my approach. Especially with Frost now up.

Dont get me wrong, this is an overpayment for Gaudreau but unless Calgary de ides to rebuild all of a sudden trading a star for players they can potentially flip instead of for what they need is pointless

My god is that CGY trade an overpay. No way should the Flyers ever move Phil Meyers. Dude has too much upside. Good RHD are rare let alone a 6’5 defenseman with his skating.

What I was getting at is I think I would almost take the deal without Ghost in it so if he had to be in it do the deal and flip him.
