Probably an overpay for pageau. Hes hot right now, probably dips at the tdl.
Imo keep muzzin and hyman, they add something the leafs need.

How is the Muzzin trade fair? He's one of the best defensive defensemen in the game and is the best blueliner on the Leafs. The Leafs gave up a 1st and two B+ prospects to the Kings to get him. If anything, his value has gone up since. Yes he's a pending UFA, but he won't get more than 5.5m, 6m tops in the open market so resigning him won't be that bad. He's worth North of a 2020 1st round pick.
A 3rd pair dman, a 2020 2nd, and a 2021 3rd is a laughable offer.

He’s a solid #2 - #3 d man. Calling him one of the leagues best defensive defenseman is a pretty big stretch. The Leafs overpaid a bit when they traded for him. But it was a big need and it improved the team. He’s now a rental. Without an extension, that is about as much as i’d be willing to pay. If i’m leafs i say keep the 3rd and Reilly and ask for a decent prospect. But if i’m leafs i’m not trading him unless i’m out of it at deadline.

Montreal easily accepts. You don't trade a defensemen for that cheap after paying so much for him, but It's Dubas so you never know.

Explain how he isn't one of the best, assuming you do understand the concept of defensive defenseman. As well as how that trade was an overpay... Durzi will probably never make the NHL and Grundstrom is a healthy scratch almost every game. Bjornfot is the best thing to come out of it and still doesn't warrant an overpay.
