Description

I’m not convinced that the Penguins are gonna trade Murray. Jarry is on a tear, but he’s just now making it and turning a team over to a hot goalie is always risky. That said, if Crawford and Lehner both leave in free agency, the Blackhawks won’t have a starter of their own.

Given his recent inconsistency, I can’t imagine Murray would cost a ton. In return, Pittsburgh gets a 2nd round pick, a nice defensive prospect and a potential NHL caliber goalie who has impressed at the international level.

Idk, just shooting the breeze, but I’m just going over some contingencies

If Hawks are out of playoffs at the TDL I think they should toss both goalies to trades. They’d get incredible returns. Problem is they’ll be a bubble team so a fire sale isn’t gonna work.

If both Crawford and Lehner walk in FA (Emphasis on Lehner) then everything will be wrong with the world save for the certain truth that the Hawks organization will have an overhaul. New GM, Coach, Players, everything that you can fundamentally change about the hawks would be in this nightmare scenario.

Murray wouldn’t be a bad replacement at all if we were able to get him and Delia looks ready to be the backup. If both of those options fail, the goalie free agent market isn’t totally bare. I don’t think that would be a “nightmare” scenario honestly
