Brutal for Calgary. They have no reason to move Backlund especially for Turris. Holy **** that’s bad. Brodie might waive for Nashville though and they could use an RD to slide Fabbro down.

Don't see what's in it for Calgary.

Backlund is the better player better than Turris and has a better contract. As an Ottawa fan, I hate to see what's happened to Turris, but he's almost deadweight and would need some added incentive or salary retainment for a team to take his contract.

Brodie vs Smith are both UFA. If Calgary wants to trade a consistent top 4 d in Brodie, they'll be wanting a lot more than Smith (7p in 25gm)

Turris has a better points per game average this season then Backlund does.

Backlund brings more than just points. Better contract. Younger.

Turris is not the same player he used to be. Is very apparent to be on a decline, although I really hope he can turn it around. All of Calgary has been struggling this year, I would not sleep on Backlund

younger? No he’s not. Anyway Turris has 9 points in 19 games getting a little more then 13 minutes a games playing with bottom 6 wingers while backlund has 10 points in 9 more games and getting 5 more minutes a game playing with the likes of chucky and better wingers. Backlund does have a better all around game but Turris is better offensively which y’all are lacking. They have similar contracts with Turris making about 650 thousand more.
Turris doesn’t fit in our bottom 6 but backlund does
Tkachuk Turris Smith would be a pretty productive line line for you guys while Brodie would help our top 4

Turris has been productive while being on the ice.For the life of me I still don’t know why he’s scratched besides he doesn’t fit in our bottom 6. Smith too he’s been a consistent 20 goal scorer while playing in the top 6 but his production has feel off playeing a bottom 6 role.

My bad. For some reason I thought he was only 28. Regardless he’s a better player than Turris on a better contract
