None of these trades are that far off. Philly already has 4 top 4 D without Myers so it's not a far fetched idea to trade him to get better elsewhere.

Winning could use help with a 2C and Tampa gets cap relief in the form of picks. Not bad.

I heard Niku does not have a spot on the Jets, that's why I started this one.

Flyers, I feel have top4 D without Myers for 2020-2021 and they can add some offense to the FWs with this move.

Lightning do this trade if Cirelli and them cant agree to a contract mainly because he wants a long term deal from Tampa and they have not much cap space, a 1st rounder, 2nd rounder and prospect is fair value for #2 C who still has much too prove.

Only signed him to Leafs to trade him to Jets.

Jarry I feel will get moved because Pens will finally have to choose between him and Desmith.

WPG needs defense way more than a 2C (wheeler is currently their 2C btw...) Niku is only in the AHL bc he's recovering from an injury, and Jarry has been better than Murray this year, so I highly doubt PIT trades him...

Niku has a spot on the Jets, he's just recovering from a nagging injury

I heard Heinola, Dahlstrom, and even Stanley might be a head of Niku.

Stanley definitely isn't, Dahlstrom definitely isn't, and Heinola is in Europe for the rest of the year

Who will be their Top 4 D for next year? Why do we need Kapanen if we have young top six wingers like Farabee, Konecny, and Lindblom for our future?

Can't rely on Ghost right now. I'd rather have a younger two-way guy like Myers as well. Would also like two LHD and two RHD.

Right now, sure.
This is 2020.

Niskanen and Sanheim are RHD and Provorov and Ghost LHD, right?

And Myers is RHD.

Sanheim is LHD. Myers is their only young RHD. You don’t trade a 6’5 RHD with his skating ability. If anything the Flyers LHD are expendable with York and Zamula in the pipeline who are both Left.

Sanheim is left handed but plays on his offside.
Similar to Hainsey and Niku.

As a Jets fan I think this is good for Winnipeg but idk if Tampa is doing this and is Toronto moving another 1st out? Can't see it but ya never know.

The Jets should consider moving Niku cause right now other teams would be interested and they don't seem willing to play him with the Jets, much longer in the AHL and his stock likely starts falling and Heinola looks like he'll for sure be ready for the NHL next season so is having such a smallish defense in Morrissey, Pionk, Heinola and Niku a good idea, probably not.

He did last season it’s been Ghost this season playing offside. But i’m talking Right-Handed Defenseman. Flyers don’t have many good Right-Handed D prospects. Why trade away one that is playing well now.

@MisstheWhalers always gives a fair analysis of the Jets so okay with what they said about Niku and where the Jets are in keeping him vs moving him.

As for Tampa, they have cap issues for next season and this is a way to address them.

Thanks for the link! I never heard of that site before, I will definitely have to check it out. How good is it? Is it one of the first sites you go to for info or just one you check periodically? Just wondering what your recommendation is on it.

What else have you heard about Niku? I'm curious as I only know what a few posters on here told me.

As @MisstheWhalers mentioned, Winning have a few young players to consider and so improving in other spots makes sense.
Everyone is saying they need a D but I tell you...those young Winning D have impressed me playing at the NHL level and getting better. Moving a guy like Niku for 2C will help Wheeler and Scheifele.
