Buffalo takes that, sells their team, and runs to Antarctica so that you can never chase them down!

Why does everyone seem to think Taylor hall is worth more than a first and a prospect?

Right like he is 100% testing UFA. He would be silly not to.

More importantly, he’s just not THAT good. Mark Stone is 100% a better, and more consistent player, and he got a high end prospect and a 2nd.

To be fair he is a recent MVP. That said, a a first and Mittlestadt is just about enough.
And if I'm trading for him it's because I think he A) can give me a chance to win the Cup, not just make the playoffs, and B) trading for him at least gives me a leg up on signing him. I dont think the first is true for Buffalo and the second might not be true for anyone.

Ya, he had one MVP caliber season and a whole bunch where he gets hurt and puts up 50 points. Would it surprise you to know that he’s scored 30 goals once? That he’s put up over 80 points just once? That his career 82 game average for goals is just 28? He’s had one great season. That’s it.
