Question for ISLANDERS fans

Description
One thing that I've been wondering is something surrounding Bode Wilde. As we know he is a great prospect with a bright future ahead of him but one thing that I'm not a fan of is having him sit around in the press box in Bridgeport. I was wondering, isn't it possible if we can loan him out to an OHL or NCAA team for the season so that he can get some valuable playing and development time or are we not allowed to do that at this stage of the season?

I believe his rights are owned by Saginaw in the OHL air something along those lines.

I think I’d be more confused as to why Dobson is sitting in the press box most nights. Weird development strategy, but Lou is probably smarter than me, so I’m guessing there’s a plan for both (maybe send them to the world juniors?).

I really hope Dobson can play at the WJC, that kid needs some playing time....

The reasoning is that he's "too good for junior, not quite good enough for the NHL." That said, he's ineligible for the AHL (not totally sure why) so they have him up with the big team because A) They have the space, B) They want him getting acclimated to the lifestyle (or something like that). I'm not totally opposed to it but I'd still like to see him get more playing time. Maybe now that the point streak is over, he'll get those opportunities

Wilde played tonight. Dobson deserves to be playing every night, but I’m not lou lamoriello or Barry Trotz and I trust they know more about developing players than I do.

I think one of Johnny boychuk/ Scott mayfield will get injured and that will give Dobson an opportunity to cement his spot in the lineup

Yeah, I could see him going to world juniors, and coming back for the second half of the season. I feel like the next contract threshold after 8 games is 48?

Met him a couple of times this summer. Kid is a beauty.

Yeah I guess we’ll find out soon enough lol. It’s 9 games, then 40 (service time).

In 6 out of the 7 games dobson played in this season, he led isles defenseman in xGF% and xGA. He’s already a stud, I can’t wait till he’s a regular

To me, Bode Wilde is an excellent prospect, but I'd move him for the right piece. Whether that's a top forward prospect (preferably center), or a player that will help us today, I'd move him if we got a player that would have a large impact on the team.
