Detroit needs a lot of things right now. As it looks now Detroit has more promising forward prospects than they have D prospects. Trading Cholowski for Kapanen doesn't make much sense. In my opinion JP is not an NHL player and after 3 full seasons of playing pro hockey in North America and still has not secured a roster spot. I think it's best to steer clear of him. I have no problems trading Perlini and Svechnikov. Now I do think Svechnikov is going to be a good player but it isn't going to happen in Detroit. Maybe Helm brings in a 5th round pick. I'm not sure a team looking for secondary scoring is going to target Helm in his last 87 games he has 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points.

please please please dont give torey krug 8 million dollars to score 43 pts and be -23 on the season. He is not the kind of player we need. we need to find some elite talent because we dont have any and as much as we like larkin and mantha and hronek theyre good but thats it. I have no idea where to go anymore with this team but ill take lerhner and a couple dmen wh can play in their own zone to along with cholo and hronek right now
