1 year left on his deal and I think Jackets will miss playoffs and be sellers at the deadline. I also think Kamenev could fit well in their top 9.

I like the Kreider trade, though I believe NYR might get a little more at the trade deadline. Maybe not giving up a 5th round pick and maybe getting a better prospect. But if the market is stingy and Kreider is having an off year statistically, I believe Gorton would make this trade.

If you substitute Logan O'Connor for Greer I'd do it right now. Otherwise I'd wait until the deadline hoping to find a better deal. But this one is definitely reasonable.

I hope they dont do the NYR trade... a first rd pick for a 3rd line player. I'd rather stick with Wilson jost compher line and use the first to trade for something they need rather than trade for kreider

I would do that trade, 1st conditional on Kreider re-signing,

There is all the Hall talk speculation but I believe this is the move Sakic makes, he has tried to get kreider twice now via trade.....He usually ends up focusing and getting his guy in the end. He did that with Burakovsky trying to get him for while, Trying to trade for Ian Cole before signing him.

I wouldn’t rely on Wilson to be at 100% when he returns or even if he returns. Kreider is not having a great season with NY but he can provide stability and bring a more veteran presence with Jost and Compher. Players will want to sign in Colorado with more and more buzz. If you can get him on a nice deal and play him on the 3rd/2nd line (future 4th) it could be a nice addition to a true contending team for only their late pick 1st.

I like both of those trades. If CBJ thinks Anderson's value has dropped that much from his play this season then I would be happy to buy low on him. If the Hall rumours don't pan out or if the price is too high I would also like Kreider.

With both of these moves I think Jost is expendable. Compher could shift to 3C and bring Anderson up to 3RW, then Nieto-Bellemare-Calvert becomes the 4th line. With that in mind maybe Jost could be included in the Kreider deal? Maybe swap the 1st for Jost + 2nd if NYR is ok with that?

Wilson isnt really a make or break for me.. you put calvert or donskoi there and its justvad good... also when healthy the 3rd line saw the least amount of ice time, dont think they need kreider to be honest.. I'd rather use that first to draft a prospect or sure up the defense because johnson will be hurt and beyond makar everyones a lefty

Don’t forget about Timmins! I just think the Avs first won’t be some great prospect towards the end of the 1st round. I mean Kaut went 10 a few years ago.

I like timmins but he looked shakey once the real season began. But if they called up rosen and not timmins when johnson got hurt, dont expect him to be called up once the playoffs start... kaut was a 16th overall pick but in the same draft sandin went 28th overall and he looks like the real deal. Timmins was taken 31st overall in his year... and this draft is suppose to be very deep... just dont think kreider is worth a 1st to play on the 3rd line
