Debrusk will get a bridge 3 years 3m

Krug will not get that from Boston

Vesey had the chance to sign in Boston and chose not to....phuck him.

Jax pass.

Be tough to get a 3rd for Moore.

BTW

Darth with a 35 save shutout today. Urho with another goal (that’s 4g 3a in 5 games). Stud a goal and an assist. ??

Bruins fans thought on JP for JFK? add picks maybe at the draft bruins send a 1st for oilers second so probably 20 pick switch? accounts for JP scoring more?

Carolina got a 1st from Toronto for similar Marleau contract, why do you expect to pay less?

Certainly could be explored. Couple of other things that are more urgent and will determine other things they do. But it’s possible.

And they are what, you are right against the cap in this post. Bo one is going to just help Boston. When Toronto paid to get Marelau off their hands they were still cap compliant also. It was after the trade they ballooned their payroll.

1- Marleau demanded to be bought out to waive. Backes might but he can only block half the league next year.

2 - No cap relief for Marleau buyout. Is for Backes.

3 - cost less in actual $ to buyout Backes than Marleau

4 - a team could be interested in acquiring Backes for his cap hit to help them get to the floor. At that point his cap hit is an asset and the punishment fee goes down. Marleau cap hit was/is detriment to Canes.

5 - leafs had to move Marleau to get everyone signed. Was willing to pay a premium too. Boston does not and is not.

lastly using comparisons works great in contracts. Not so much in trades. Every team has different needs, philosophies, values. Most teams would not have accepted late 2nd and Branny for Stone. Sens did. Most would have asked for more. If trades have to be similar to previous deals than send us Mantha for Grizz - - - Hall for Larssen says it’s fair. ??‍♂️

Right against the Cap in this post due to overpays/Vesey (not wanted)
Debrusk 3 x US$5M
Griz 5 x $3.5 or 4M
delete Vesey's $2.4M
RFA farm boys - some are likely not gonna get offers. Just guessing but if the Cap is tight then - Sherman? Cehlarik? Kuhlman?....etc. would be likely expendable.

Ahh yeah Stompy, I forgot/overlooked the Krug deal posted above.
Agree too that 7 x US$8.15M is unlikely from Bruins unless term is 5 or 6Y maybe?
Krug's on record for wanting to sign in Boston, so is that US$7M / $7.5M / other?

I think his value is 7.5 so I hopr boston gets him for 5 years at 7.25 maybe. that seems like a deal

For sure Shmoe, but there are options, if required, that might effect the 'bubble' players more than the 'core'.
