I'm really not sure but Yzerman does like AA so he isn't going to trade him for two AHL players and a 2nd round pick in next years draft.

Henriksson at just under 5'9" and 174lbs he is very small. Small players that are successful in the NHL have either game breaking speed or game breaking skill he has neither. If he does make the NHL he is bottom 6 player at best. Rykov (22) has never played North American hockey. He did sign a 2 year ELC. In the 1st year NYR can play him in the NHL or the AHL how ever they want but in the 2nd year he is free to go back and play KHL if he wants. At just past the quarter mark of the season and NYR hasn't brought him to North America yet, I'm not sure they will. Since he is barely inside NYR's top 20 prospects and being a 5th round pick it's not a big deal if he doesn't make it to the NHL. He is listed as 2 way defenseman with offensive up side but he had 9 points in 47 games as 21 year old in the KHL.

Now I could be wrong and they could become very good players but it is just too much risk for Detroit to trade AA for.

very bold, we like bold. don't need to be "game breaking" anymore. the league is changing. he is a highly skilled player with very good speed. a true playmaking center who is responsible defensively. his number speak for themselve. it might take him 3-4 years to make the team. he has top 6 player written all over him. the center version of zucc.

He has good speed but he just doesn't the separation you would like to see in a smaller player. I respect your view on Henriksson but I still think he is bottom 6 player. Now I hope I'm wrong because I would root for a player to not have success no mater what team he is on.

Dang because we have Joey Keane who is definitely a future top 4 RHD but our LHD is thin aside from K’Andre Miller who is 100% not getting moved with how bad our LHD is right now but Libor Hajek is a player from Tampa that Yzerman revered so I’d do him and maybe another piece and a 2nd?

I'd probably take that deal, Living in Tampa i've seen Hajek play a time or two. And love his game.
