So say if we go with Jarry (the likely cheaper option) and he knows we won't have to sign Murray he's gonna want at least 3, MP probably gets 4, he's been a solid top 4 d man and clearly took a bargain of a deal this year for the team, so we could stay under the cap, McCann and Kahun (after the first 5ish games) have both been really good, should get around 3 each, McCann maybe a bit more bc he proved he could be a decent option as a 2C, Simon likely gets around 2, he could easily have 5+ more points than he does rn, he'll probably end the year close to if not above 40 points+ solid defensive/PK play, that's 15 right there, then you need to sign (or call up from theA) depth guys (Riikola Lafferty bottom 6 Galch replacement/roster fillers/HS's) that's another 3ish mil, leaving us with 2-3 mil to find a d man to replace Schultz (or if that's Marino, we probably want to spend 2-3 mil on a really good bottom pairing d man in case Marino isn't that good/as a fall back so he isn't relied upon to play 20-25 mins/night every night)

im predicting similar, jarry at 4m, mp at 4, mcc n kahun at 3, simon 2.5, and after filling up all the other roster spots that leaves just under 6.5m for a schultz replacement. i dont know how u r getting these cap numbers

Well that's 16.5 there, (4+4+3+3+2.5) plus 2.5 (minimum) for 3 depth guys (idk how many we need, 3 sounds realistic, Lafferty Riikola and Galch) that's 19, that's not much for a Schultz replacement
