Top 3 players stars for the month of November by the NHL channel is McDavid, MacKinnon and Kane in that order. I'd start there.

He's been the best defensive forward in the league so far and has 14 goals.

Why is the league's 2nd best scorer (by 1 point) ranked in the 4-6 range? At the end of November Draisaitl had 48 points and was well ahead of the next best player:

McDavid: 49
Draisaitl: 48
Marchand: 43
MacKinnon: 42
Pastrnak: 41

in 5v5 scoring he was head-and-shoulders above the rest:

Draisaitl: 29
McDavid: 26
Marchand: 26
MacKinnon: 24
Pastrnak: 23
Panarin: 20
Kassian: 19 *
Eichel: 19

I think it's super close but Marchand is a superstar on both ends of the ice and is part of the best line in the league. Also, Kassian is probably top 40 forwards, not anywhere near a top 13 imo.
