Not bad, addresses the backup goalie problem going down the stretch and gives Chicago a potential steal in Chmelevski. Don’t care much for Koekkoek. Chicago is likely not making the playoffs again so maybe they accept a 3rd? They’re very likely not re-signing Crawford either...

As a CHI fan...I'd probably do that. I don't think Dillon would stay in CHI for long though. Another pending UFA and history shows 7th dmen might even be able to fetch a 3rd rounder @ the TDL (Brendan Davidson, Nick Holden, even Kempny at the time was a fairly regular healthy scratch. Obviously WAS won out on that trade.)

Um no? Why would we give up a top 4 D, a top prospect and a second for a UFA goalie and a 9th dman

I don’t think Chmelevski is a top prospect in the sharks org anymore. A healthy scratch for the last month and zero points in 7 AHL games...he’s been overtaken by Blichfeld, True and Kellman.

Dillon is not a top four. Not on the Sharks and not on most teams. Dunno where you got that...

Dillon is a serviceable bottom pairing dman. Certainly not a 7th. And definitely not a 7th on Chicago’s D which, no offense, is terrible.

I just meant they'd flip him because they're not contenders this year and shouldn't let him walk away for free. Then was trying making a comparison as to what that trade might be. more than a 3rd sounds good to me.

Also Crawford is a very capable goalie still who should be competing in the playoffs. If Jones slumps again, the sharks can roll with Crow confidently. It’s a very smart move and addresses the Sharks greatest need this year to make a push.

Thats just flat out wrong. He was injured for the start of the season and has been very good since he got back

I dont think getting crawford is a bad idea, I just dont want to give up the equivalent of like 3 2nd rounders for him when he either walks or asks for 4mil+ in the offseason. Think we could get him with a third rounder or something similar

Sharks top four - Vlasic Karlsson - Simek Burns.

I am right. And most people will see it as right. Dillon is NOT a top four on the Sharks nor is he a top four on any other team except maybe the Jets.

Sasha was a 6th round pick. He may never even play in the NHL.

Im talking about Chemelevski. Dillon is a very fine Dman on most teams and isnt worthless like you are implying.

Bad take. Labanc was a 6th round pick,Gregor was a 4th,Balcers was a 5th,Joakim Ryan was a 7th,Demelo was a 6th,Wingels was a 6th.

Draft position doesn't determine value or player ability.
