What Id pay for Hall

Description
So taylor hall has gotten 4 goals this year, 1 empty netter, 1 that bounced in with luck... jersey is severely over estimating the value of their former MVP who's come back after a significant injury... especially when you consider a the mark stone trade.

Mark stone cost an A level prospect and lesser prospect and a 2nd rd pick, why would anyone pay more than that for an injury prone Hall who's not doing well in his contract year, who's team has landed the 1st overall pick 5 times out of 8 or 9

And sakic doesnt resign him unless it's a sweetheart deal

Im hanging up. Montreal would offer half of their system. Maybe add Timmins and have that 2nd conditional and we have a deal.

From a Avs blog site, and yes just one guys opinion:
https://www.milehighhockey.com/2019/12/1/20990055/should-the-colorad-avalanche-go-all-in-on-a-taylor-hall-trade
"If we’re talking a trade like the Stone one, it’s safe to assume the Devils would ask for Bowan Byram. The fourth overall selection in this past year’s draft is one of the better defensive prospects in the NHL and would be a guy who would fit in perfectly with New Jersey. A straight up one for one deal might make sense. It would be a tough pill to swallow but a trade the Avalanche might be willing to do given how strong their group of young defenders are. "

I personally think its a trade similar to Stone, in that Hall and Ferris are allowed to talk to the Flames/Avs/Habs of the world to see if there is something there. If Shero was looking at Hall I would hope that it would have a handshake signing before the trade. This goes against what the writer says later in the story BTW
I really believe Hall will not want to be a rental, that could go wrong for him too. He could get hurt and lose all the leverage. He wants to start winning asap, going to a team that limps in is not ideal. I think he and Shero have a good enough relationship where if he says I can't wait for Jersey to get its act together that Shero says let me work the best deal for both parties.
I want Hall here, only if he wants to be. If not get the largest return possible, and Shero has been good so far with that (save Grabner trade-because of Hall BTW!)

Yeah it says that Jersey would ask for byram.. who wouldnt, it says it's more likely kaut/timmins/zadorov/jost and a pick

Hall goes to MTL, and colorado remains one of the top scoring teams in the league looking at 5-6 solid years of cup contention

The point is to not make the team better? Its to just give jersey an A+ prospect because they could get lesser prospects from a different team if you dont?

As I said, one guys opinion. And it didn't say likely, it actually said "Would something like Kaut, a first and a roster player be enough to get a trade done?"
He also actually said: "Adding Bowan to the current group would be a great luxury to have, but he likely wouldn’t make the type of impact towards a Stanley Cup that Hall would in the current contention window."
Its basically both fanbase guarding their assets, its probably that Shero/Sakic are closer than any of us think!
