Please tell me what my eyes are missing.
I would not trade Girgensons for Bjugstad at this point, much less throw in the 7th highest +/- defenseman in the NHL.
I also would not trade McCabe's 6 defense man pts for Bennett's 5 forward pts.
The after these trades are made, who plays LHD now that Dahlin is hurt? Pilut?

Well, I basically like the deal with Calgary. The deal with Pittsburgh now probably will not happen due to the injury of Bjugstad and it should be a one-on-one deal, I see no reason to add the Girgensons to the deal.

My attitude to McCabe is not very good as a player, on the other hand, I like Bennett a bit. I think McCabe was our worst defender this season, and I would not have had problems with his trade. I really like Pilut and he should already play in the NHL, but he still plays for Rochester because of the overabundance of players on the defensive. I don’t think that we will trade McCabe and Scandella at the same time, especially since Dahlin is injured.

Bennett is that guy with grit and passion, and it seems to me that he still has the potential to be a very solid top 9 player, I don’t know why the author of the topic put him on the fourth line, he can play on any wing or even in the center, we could try to connect it with Jack and Olofsson or with Skinner, I think a team needs such a player, he also always protects for a teammate (injuries of Dahlin and Sobotka), he will always strain the players of another team and inspire fear.

Your eyes arent missing anything. We have a ton of mediocre defensemen and need better forward depth
