Why would we send guys down who are NHL ready?

Besides Hartley's cup win, he's been a **** coach.

Well you have to pick coaches that speak french...

- Lemaire might be available from the pens.
- Bring Carbonneau back
- Patrick Roy could be funny

I don't think changing coaches will change anything.......... although I do agree its an easy out to take. With that said, Julien is still on contract for big $$. I doubt Molson is just ok with letting him go.

I said this last year and I'll say it again. Habs need to be patient. Adding Hall will do nothing but keep the trend of mediocrity going.

Keep trying to make the playoffs with what you got but don't lose track of the real goal. Building a team capable of winning the cup. That means although trying to ice a competitive team year after year, still making the necessary trades to draft those studs from within until you have core of players you drafted. Habs are getting close but are still not there yet.

Weber and Price are immovable but can still be important parts of the team. IMO anyone from age 28 and older not named Price and Weber should be traded at peak value now.

Well, not really. Lot of ****ty french player didnt make it. Its just a question of respect for the only french population in North America who make that team live.

There is a history of conflict in Québec between french and anglo - having a french speaking coach is a minimum on the team named after french Canadians

(canadian use to mean the french people living in new-france - and habs means "habitant" another name for the settlers)

As an Atlantic Canadian, I'm well aware of the history of the Habs. What I'm saying is, if you get a chance to hire the best coach available, do it, regardless of whether he's English, French, or from Nicaragua. It shouldn't matter. Half of the Habs issues stem from the fact that they're stuck reminiscing about the organizations history, instead of actually planning for the future.
