Make it a second rounder instead of the first and it looks like a fair trade ...Ottawa gets futures and etown gets decent depth players

Yup. Deep draft this year. Giving up a first for 2 depth players is foolish, not to mention that they’re adding Yamamoto, who was a 1st reasonably recently.

I'm not going to comment on the trade because I think that the difference between Puljujarvi and Yamamoto and the first versus the second is more subjective than objective. Instead, I'll say I think that the team that you've constructed as a result of this exchange is an undeniable improvement on the one you have now. Congratulations! Good job!

Chris Tierney would be a great addition as a 3C. But I would not want the team to trade away so much of its future for him and Connor Brown.
