Both bad contracts going out are better than the 1 coming in, let alone you want their 2019 top 10 pick and their best young goalie?

He’s been garbage this year but hab fans think they can trade him for prime assets bc they just blame the D in font of him,

No one wants a 10.5m .900sv% goalie. Delusional price trades all around

So much irrational hate.

He's tradeable, and any team would be happy to have him. The league voted him the best goalie in the NHL by a large margin last year and his numbers showed he "struggled". He's on a horrible defenseive team. When you actually play some hockey and understand the game, get back to us, bucko.

The league didn’t vote anything. The nhlpa did So players voted him last year is your reason? And struggling is an understatement, typical and advance stats he’s been straight up bad

That’s just the reality of price this season at 32 costing 10.5m no team wants to come near that contract

So maybe stop blaming the D and take the time to look At the data instead, price hasn’t been good

Also, the Price contract is a direct comparable to the Lundqvist and Bobrovsky contracts. The Lundqvist contract wasn't bad then and isn't bad now. The Price contract is only bad to irrational man-children on the internet who hate the Habs for no reason at all.

Man child? You’re the one who is throwing a temper tantrum trying to being passive aggressive with play and understand the game insults

Look into the mirror on this one

For the record, Carey Price has a FULL NMC so his fans/GM/media can't just hope he can easily be traded. If he was willing to waive his NMC to go to a contender, he would've explore free agency option instead of signing his contract 1 year in advance

*looks up stats as instructed*

*confused* "these stats... prove my point?"

Doesn’t understand how to look up stats, when disputing
you aren’t living in the past about price so goes back to 2014 as if it’s relevant now

https://thehockeywriters.com/canadiens-2019-20-problems-goaltending/

What does price look like today, ahh poor goaltending in a variety of categories yet fan base still Blames the D as it’s the only reason he has bad numbers now

Best stats from 2013 to 2019 indicates how dominant he's been over that stretch despite a couple underwhelming seasons. Poor defensive play will contribute to a goaltender's stats. Goaltender's stats are not something to be looked as this one thing. If you play for a bad team, you will have bad stats. As someone who actually watches the games, they are playing absolutely horrible hockey. Watch the highlights and you'll see goals in very high percentage scoring areas from players completely ignored by the defense. You'll also see odd man rushes after odd man rushes after odd man rushes with only one defenseman back. (and Carey bails them out most of the time, but can't stop every 2 on 1 or 3 on 1) Yes, he has let in some weak ones, arguably as a result of low confidence right now. Taking this year's small sample of 22 games played, 10 of which are in a horrible slump where the team has played like dog****, is irresponsible stats reporting. He will turn it around by the end of the year, that is obvious to anyone who has ever watched Carey Price play. Come back here after 60 games played by Carey Price and you'll see exactly what I mean. Price is tradeable, just not in this exact moment. But then again, you never ever sell low, nor will the Habs.

Summary, I don’t care what the stats and underlying numbers are saying right now, watch the games! The high danger shots, please consider the high danger shots

Yet even as the team defense as improved and shot suppression increased, the high danger shores reduced yet price numbers haven’t improved, watch the game its the Ds fault!

I said he’s been terrible this year...which is a true statement and you threw a temper tantrum with going to name calling right out the gate. The team and D has been bad but so has he and he is without blame

Summary: I don't actually read what other people write and throw tantrums myself calling Habs fans delusional for offering up fictional trades on a website designed to explore trades and then get upset when people call me out for it.

the advanced stats you just mentioned mean absolutely nothing.

Sorry, I just can't help name calling an idiot what he is.

Come back in 40 games when shot suppression decreases, high danger shots increase and so does Carey Price's save percentage back to .915 or above. You'll be so confused. But real hockey minds will understand.

You really can’t comprehend the concept of “right now” everything I have Post about price is about how he’s bad right now

Go look at 2014 come back in 40 games and maybe this hypothetical could happen that will show you! That has nothing to do with the right now

Dude everything is about right now. You dismiss it, the stats the context everything yet you claim you are some great hockey mind but you are failing to grasp the current state of prices game

Now we are Back to name calling..why bc you are frustrated that your opinion stated as facts doesn’t out weigh actual numerical data about price being terrible right now?

The advance stats mean nothing? Did you read it? Guess not bc you are claiming watch his stats increase when shots decrease etc but in recent sample size..That has happened with better team defense and reduced high danger shots but his stats still haven’t improved?

Have a good one dude and keep on yelling high danger shots into the echo chamber to make you feel good
