Not sure how Bruins make this work for the cap but Wild say yes!

Lol yeah bad trade for the bruins... Id say this trade works for the bruins if the Wild also take Backes' deal and retain some of Staals deal (or Zuckers deal would be better) then it would be fair

3 year deal would take him straight to an arbitration eligible RFA status one year off of unrestricted free agency, every arbitration decision results in a one year deal no matter the AAV, really tough spot to be in. A 2 year bridge deal works a lot better from the Bruins perspective.

Krug will command probably over $8M AAV and atleast 6-7 years in term. Is that something you'd want to give a defender soon to be 29?

I think krug would sign a 7ish per for 6 years. He wants to stay here. He might even take less for all we know. The core players of this team have taken good contracts to keep the team competitive. Imo I think Grizz has a better shot of getting shipped out of here come draft day and they role with krug urho and a fight between lauzon/zboril and maybe even chara for the third spot
