TRADE EXPLANATION :

Edmonton perspective
- RNH can be easily replaced by either Draisaitl on the second pairing or Domi right away - has been underperforming.
- Price is a worthy gamble for them, might be the push they need for a good playoff run.
- Rielly fills a roster spot, I have to admit Nurse would be a big hole to fill but in my head Price > Koskinen and Domi = RNH so it makes sense that Nurse > Rielly.

Montreal

Although Price is a big price to pay, RNH could be our long awaited (and still young) #1 centerman to play with Drouin and upcoming Cole Caufiled in the coming years. Price needs a change of scenery. Nurse would be perfect alongside captain and #1 RHD weber (if you think Klefbom is more realistic I would do that trade too). Kiskinen is an obvious downgrade, is overpaid and might be bought out when Primeau's ready in a year or 2.

Let me know what you think! Should the trade be tweaked? Is it unrealistic?

Easy no from Edmonton. No way they'll take that Price contract, especially since he isn't performing well and hasn't been a top-tier goalie for 3 years.

Price isn't going anywhere due to his NMC. Even if he waived his NMC which its unlikely, his trade value won't be that high

The biggest problem is Koskinen is playing better then Price right now. Can he keep that up, most likely not but Prices contract is to big. If Domi and Nuge are even then whats the point. And then moving Nurse just no. The Oilers are playing well, they need ways to improve not get worse. Add Gally. Now it's Domi, Gally, Price and an AHL defenseman for Nurse, Koskinen who has outperformed Price on a better contract and Nuge. And the Oilers still say no, because nobody wants Price's contract unless it makes them better
