You have my attention, just don't think this is a good long term move for the Oilers, Rangers could probably get more too

from what i understand rangers fans are considering georgiev as their future starter so idk if they're moving him.

wouldn't be smart for toronto to give up bracco and a pick for a guy to sit behind andersen.

I totally agree. I think most Leaf fans foresee a tandem rotation and want to get a guy who can play more than the occasional game. This is due to everyone assuming Freddie needs more rest. This narrative came up last year from the media, not from Freddie at all. I don't think the Leafs need a tandem, nor should they pay for one. A tandem also assumes both goalies are equal, and these two are not. I would use some assets to acquire a new backup, but this is a lot to give up.

Now if it's part of a bigger package for a guy like Deangelo? I'd be interested. The Rangers will have trouble resigning him for what he wants next year due to Shattenkirk's buyout penalty, he's somebody I'd be looking at acquiring.

You make Kreider/Nugent-Hopkins, Ryan/Fast for your line 2 ....Thats a solid line 2....Fast in my opinion is also one for the best PK forward in the NHL ...He never quits like an Energiser battery and win "Extra effort award" with the Rangers every year. Sean Day was award "exceptional status" for his skating ...watch a video on him skating lol my god he can skate.

Where exactly is the value there in the Oilers trade?

2 cap dumps, a bust, and a late 1st for a Top 6 Winger (with retention), another roster player, and a meh prospect? HAAAARD PASS

Georgiev being very young for a Goalie can become a #1 goalie in the NHL but Rangers have Shesterkin in waiting ....After Hanks 8.5m contract Hank will sign with the Rangers again for like 750k and play backup behind Shesterkin leaving Georgiev expandable... I'll tell ya one thing ...Georgiev is getting traded this year, Thats a for sure.

Nope, Shesterkin is their next starter.

Change the 2nd to a 3rd or 4th (I think that may be an overpay based on his numbers so far) and the leafs may accept. Rangers would need to retain some money. Shouldn’t be an issue.

A good second line doesnt have Fast on it. Idc how good he is defensively, on a good team he isnt in your top 6. He'd be a solid 3rd liner tho

Make it the 2021 2nd. And looking at the standings and seeing where TO should be had they had any okay backup, I think that speaks enough about the need for a decent backup.

Not so fast. Hank will not be here pass next year. *Make a 21 team* and you'll realize he won't be here next year either! Simply no cap room. He gets to go to a contender or is bought out this summer, book it!
