dubnyk wasn't an nhl goalie anymore, Petry and perron were both done with the losing culture, they didn't have cap space for maroon, schultz was garbage at the end of his time in edmonton, eberle trade was stupid and hall trade too although Larsson allowed us to make the playoffs, Barzal yea oof but they wouldn't have picked him. over all every team makes mistakes

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t the Barzal pick from the Perron trade? How did you end up with both on the roster?

I don’t believe so. I think it was from the Griffin Reinhart trade

Yes it was. So he has to delete Perron, but he can add Aho from Carolina or Carlo from Boston with the #33 pick from the Reinhart trade.

Dubnyk wasn't horrible in Edmonton because he was the issue, the teams were so bad he was never able to develop properly and gain confidence. Also, I hate the "the wouldn't have picked him" excuse for not drafting someone. Barzal should've went top 10. Edmonton would've been just as stupid to not pick him as they were to trade the pick

Yea but they initially got the pick from Pittsburgh (+ Klinkhammer) for Perron. Then at the draft, they flipped the pick (+ their own 2nd round pick) for Barzal. So if you bring back Perron, you never would have gotten the pick for Barzal. Regardless, just a small detail.
