For the VGK trade, no point to really attach Maatta to Kubalik to bring his value down. I might not even trade him at all to be honest, really solid upside in his 1st year in the league, and you can buy out Maatta for like 900k a year if cap is an issue, if not theres not real reason to trade Maatta either, hes still better than koekkoek. NYR trade looks fine, i guess, idk. Hope and pray Bergevin takes that offer, and we can get a lot more from trading Caggiula if hes not with Smith. Just send smith somewhere for like a 7th, he can still do things.

As for the MTL, and VGK are an overpay in my opinion due to giving up so much, particularly the Vegas one. The MTL would need to be amended but I don't think we have THAT much of a need for a centre as we have Toews/Strome/Dach

The NYR can actually probably be justified though we have come to value Sikura fairly high since his Hobey Baker nom. In saying that Lemieux appears NHL ready and could be a handy addition.

Finally, as much as I would like to think the TOR trade is fair business, leafs fans tend to value Johnsson fairly high and wouldn't feel the need to part for Crawford and a 5th.
