Two Trades to The Cup

Description
First off hear me out!

Trade 1

Ceci is the most debated so here’s my uneducated opinion. LA will take a 2nd for Campbell as that is very steep for a goalie and take on Ceci as a cap dump as apart of that price. No brainer here, Leafs OVERPAY to dump Ceci and to get a half decent goalie (maybe)

Trade 2

Let’s just imagine for second that you remember this almost occurred back in the summer; when Dubas offered a deal to Nashville. I say New Jersey takes it as they are losing Hall so this trade frees up more space and nets them a core player with A.J. The Leafs get a hometown boy who will say good things about Don Cherry and who will be better than Ceci, plus he’s still got a bomb of a RH shot and he could boost our PP making Toronto lethal af

Alright I had my fun, now destroy me and my dumb ass ideas

Did you see what Devils gave to get Subban?
His value did not go up.

Not moving Johnsson for him anyway.

Subban is starting to decline fast now IMO.

PK Subban and Jack Campbell do not get you closer to a Stanley Cup at all.

This isn't 2016. Subban isn't a superstar anymore.

That is an overpay on the PK trade by the Leafs. Even with the retention that does not make sense from a Leafs perspective.

I don't think the Kings will consider trading Campbell prior to the expansion draft. They gave him a 3 year deal so they could dangle him to Seattle and convince them to take him instead of a quality young defensive prospect.
