This is next year's roster so he didn't get re-signed by the Leafs over the summer in this scenario

I don't feel he has really shown who he is yet. He could be a decent, but not star goalie, or he could be just an amateur goalie. At this point it could still either way imo

2017 4th round pick. 17-18 season was meh, and he joined the Toronto Marlies (Eventual Calder Cup Champion) after his WHL season was over.. The experience was great for him, and in 18-19 he played a huge role in carrying the Prince Albert Raiders to their championship. Presently recovering from a groin injury (which for goalies you stay patient), otherwise, he'd be the starter for the Newfoundland Growlers in the ECHL.

From my watching of brief videos of the Raiders (primarily 17-18) he appeared to be very athletic, quick reflexes, good hand-eye coordination. He had the tools but just needed to put it all together, which he did in 18-19. Legitimate starter potential in my inexperienced and meaningless opinion, but of course that is a long-shot and goalies are voodoo.

Wow, thank you for the well thought-out take. Very important to take voodoo into account for goalies, Expected VooDoo per 60 minutes is a very underrated stat (xVD/60).
