Closer, but they would probably want it to start with Cozens which is never happening

I honestly think mittlestadt and cozens will have similar careers. The major difference is mittlestadt is in nhl now and cozens will take 2 years. But cozens will be expansion draft protected.

What use do Flames have for Ristolainen with D they already have? And your not even taking one in the trade either.

Mittelstadt has a high ceiling but he isn't a top line talent like Cozens will be. Mittelstadt will take longer to reach that because Sabres rushed him into the NHL

Bottom line, this trade does not make sense for Flames.
Easy pass.

Do you really not understand that Calgary does not make any sense in trading Monahan for such a package, moreover with any team, not only with Buffalo.

Of course I read, but I’m telling you not about this, but about the package, if they trade Monahan, then he should return the same proven center for 60+ points, and not Mitts, who even in our team cannot play in the center in bottom 6 and the coach puts him on the wing. Calgary is not in rebuild to trade its best center for futures and RHD second pair.

I mean there is no reason not to think he can be an elite player. His scouting report is fantastic, he is compared in play style to Kesler but skill wise to Mark Scheifele. He is big, fast, smart, competitive, and plays defense (which is so rare for a young forward prospect.) He is tearing up the WHL rn and is set to lead the league in points
