KK and Suzuki learn what they can from Danault before we trade his UFA rights in Februrary and they square off for 2nd Center Position .Danault will land us a fair price from a Contender and if Danault returns in the summer great and if not we focus on re-signing Domi

he's just avoiding the trade aspect in hopes people focus on what the hab s will have

Truth is Brook and Ylonen wont be ready next year
Poehlings a maybe and Caufield if sheltered could .
but NCAA doesnt do long road trips multiple times a month
there is no long season or playoffs so it doesnt prepare them for the NHL Conditioning minimums

You never know with Ylonen, but Brook is going to need a few years in the AHL
I don't think Caufield will. Poehling might with Thompson gone.

Thompson is the anti drug /alcohol poster boy for the team and a character guy who helped Suzuki a lot according to Suzuki and Claude . he may be 13th forward but he's a guy they'll keep on then transition into a coaching role or scouting role . he's our best Faceoff guy outside Danault and the only one we've brought in not effected by the rule changes . Weal and Cousins both declined while Thompson absorbed the volume

our team sucks to hard at faceoffs between Domi , Kotkanemi , Suzuki and Poehling that giving up on a guy like Thompson is as Foolish as PIT not acquiring Cullen before their back to back SC Championships .
