After a failed attempt at Aho in the summer, I feel Bergevin will make another hard push at acquiring a big name forward. IF he doesn't want to fail again, this is what it'd take, imo.

Right now Montreal isn't even in the playoffs, Zero chance right now of Hall being dealt to Montreal. My bet is that he lands in Colorado.

Geez that's a bad trade for Montreal, can't see them doing that.

These seem solid. I especially like the Alec Martinez trade.

Exactly. Everyone on this site says "that's too expensive for Hall." It probably is, but that's never stopped teams from overpaying before. He's two years removed from an MVP season and has the star power to push a contending team over the hump. Teams will pay up for him, especially because he's the top forward available on the trade market.

I agree, MTL is the least likely scenario. But I found it intriguing as MTL is still closer to home for Hall than most other teams speculated with interest at the moment. Also, with my previous comment as to Bergevin missing out on Aho.

Especially if Bergevin feels he can sign Hall. But seeing that Drouin is on IR at the moment, Domi is untouchable in my opinion, and no real solid Dman MTL would really want to part with - I threw in the conditional 2nd. It gives MTL a top winger to push their speed of play over the top and fills the hole left my Drouin for now. If there was a Dman to add to the trade that I think fit for both sides then I would have replaced the 2nd with whomever that was.

A 24 yo Drouin on a 5,5m deal or a 28 yo Hall (injury prone and difficult) at 10m+ a year for 7+ year? The answer to me is pretty obvious, especially considering how Drouin performed this year before his injury

Hey, this is all just my opinion. Would MTl trade Domi? No way. Gallagher? Nope. Poehling, Suzuki, or Lehkonen? Probably not. So without giving up a ton of prospects and picks, I feel Drouin would be the chip to fall.

The thing is, nobodys going to pay more than what the golden knights paid for Stone... So, MTL wouldnt have to give "a ton" of prospects to get Hall. Poehling and a 2021 first is more than enough trust me. COL would have to pay something like Timmins and a first or newhook and a first...
