I think we will be much more active than this at the deadline, and I also doubt that Howard goes anywhere.

I think a 3rd for each of them is a bit of wishful thinking. When was the last game that Howard finished?

I think we can get a 3rd for Green if we retain %50. I don't know about Howard, but I'm not really that interested in moving him. Just let him finish out the season and retire. Whatever we get won't be worth it in my opinion.

I'd say no to both from a wings perspective. Green is still a good puck mover and with retained salary, he has a higher value.

If the Wings could get anywhere near that for those players they should take it and run. But I'm not sure they trade Howard because he is most likely going to retire at the end of the season. He has been very clear he doesn't want to leave Detroit.

Bold prediction on howard. I think he has 2-3 years left in him. Plus with Detroit's rebuild they will need to keep howard in order to be at the cap floor. I think this offseason Detroit will have 22mill in capspace so. Also I think for green you could get a 1st from a cup contending team i.e. Vegas, Winnipeg etc. the 1st will be late and it will help their salary issues. Obviously this is all opinion based but I think youre selling a 2.25 million dollar top 4 rhd puck mover a little too low.

Top 4 RHD puck moving defenseman that has missed almost 50% of his games in the last 3 years due to injury.

Actually he's played in 73.5% of the games in the last 3 seasons, so you're wrong. Also he has a .53pts/games over those 3 seasons (note Detroit has also been a bottom team in those 3 years which also indicates lack of scoring, so him having over half a point per game shows he's fine).

Your right I was calculating the current season instead of the of the 2016-17 season. Green still isn't going to net a 3rd.
