Matthews has no trade value. He is a coach killer and point totals are in the decline. 4 points in last 8 games. He also struggles defensively. I think with increase in his minutes he will produce less points. Also, contract is 3 million to much.

That's a very under-whelming package for Matthews, And that's pure trash for Manson try more like Nylander for Manson not some garbage.

He is paid like he is top 3 player in the NHL and it can be argued he isn't even top 3 on his own team. His contract will take him to UFA is not an 8 year deal so it should be cheaper then other 8 year deals. He is criminally overrated and injury prone.

I hope you have a plan to make up the rest of the roster with 3 mil in cap space next year... your goalies are now combined to make 9.5 mil next year.
