As good as Gaudreau is, no one is paying that price for him. Konecny may end up being a 90 point guy himself by the end of the season so this really makes no sense.

As a Flames fan I'd take this trade without thinking twice, which probably means it's pretty one-sided. Konecny's contract is going to be a steal pretty quickly I think and Frost is a solid prospect who's probably a full-time NHLer now. Hagg is a 6/7 dman which you can never have enough of, plus a 1st and a 2nd. Where do I sign?

First Gaudreau trade that is more than fair, even overpayment.

I'd say remove the 1st and Hagg, and remove Jankowski.
