We need another D man

Created by: MGabes19
Team: 2020-21 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 4, 2019
Published: Dec. 4, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Offensive depth is crazy. However, we need more D men. I don't think York, Zamula, etc will be ready for NHL action next year. And I don't want Hagg playing 82 games. But where is the money coming from?!?!?! I'm already over my guess for cap ceiling, so unless we unload a forward for a D man, idk how we can make this work.

I guess what I'm saying is, please leave your thoughts/hopes for next year.

Great question, lol. I know a lot of Philly fans want Spurgeon and I would be fine with that, but I have no clue how they are going to fit any decent D man with this current cap situation. Who would you suggest?

But that doesn't solve the problem. If we go D-man for D-man, we still end up having to play Hagg for 82 games....

IK this is insane, but Voracek for Klingberg, Hintz, Polak ($$$ retained) and a 3rd

I would take that in a heartbeat, but I believe Dallas would never do that. I think it would be more along the lines of Voracek and a pick for Klingberg. Which I also dont think they would take cuz they have great offensive depth.

No chance. Voracek is beyond his prime and at 8 mill its a lot of money. Ill take Hintz alone over Voracek right now

All reports recently have been saying that Zamula will most likely be NHL ready.

Right, and that "anyone" would probably be Hagg cuz there's no more cap space (i presume). Idk how you feel about Hagg, but I just do not think he's an NHLer

I would look into trading Patrick for someone. I'd give you Maatta or Gustafsson from the Hawks, but Maatta is pretty expensive and Gus is basically just another Gostisbehere.

He's a PPG player in his last year of junior. I'm no NHL scout but I don't believe that type of player is ready to jump right into NHL

With Patrick's health issues, idk if any team is willing to give up anything for him. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Make the 1st rounder a 2nd and I think Dubas would consider.

Bad move for Dallas, move a young forward and top pairing blueliner for a declining forward on a bad contract

Don't know much about Mahura if I'm honest, but I always thought Larsson was decent (assuming your talking about Adam Larsson?). Isn't he struggling this year?

Jacob Larsson. He has potential to be top 6 dman. He’s about 22 or so
