For that return? Maybe if they add OEL and a first, maybe.

No body. Just that he is from there is why I picked it.
Nothing involved other than frustration of watching a 11.6 million player not even be the best on his team.
Would you say he's in the top 10 centres in the NHL right now? Just think he is overpiad.

Oh, that's nothing. Get a load of this abject lunacy.

That may be the most delusional thing I've ever seen on here, which is truly saying something.

This whole site is just 95% fans gushing over their own players and chirping everyone else. Its all a joke. In the minds of most people on this site, their best RHD is worth 2 firsts, a teams best prospect and a roster player or two. Its all silly.

Hence the maybe, which really just means no. I'm not trading Matthews for anyone not named Mcdavid or Mackinnon

Full disclosure, I am getting close to not wanting to cheer for this team anymore. And its not because of the players, the GM or their record. Its because there is a very large and vocal portion of Leafs nation that are complete and total idiots. They overreact to everything, talk like they are 15 year NHL vets when they likely have never skated before and they constantly rag on their own players. If I was an NHL player, I am not sure I'd want to play in TO. Dealing with idiots is too much. Matthews is 7th in the league for scoring among centres and people are wanting to trade him to Arizona because 1) idiots from other fan bases say he's overpaid so that makes it true and 2) because he wants to leave, who said that? Brian Burke once, and he also said the Leafs should have picked Hanafin instead of Marner because he's a defenceman and skates like a deer. People need to start thinking for themselves.

So you guys think Matthews is the third best player in the whole league?
Especially value on his contract?

That is a poor way of looking at it. You can't look back on contracts you have to look forward. What is Matthews going to be worth over the entirety of his contract. He's 22 and still a couple of years away from hitting his prime. How good is he going to be at that point? He's getting paid this contract from ages 22-27, will he be worth his contract over those years? I'd say its a lock. Now what would he be worth had he taken a 3 year bridge that came with a QO of 10+ Million? Well that contract would have come after the TV deal and expansion, I bet his 3rd contract would have been over 14. I'm fine with his contract. Matthews isn't the problem.

Thank you. someone with a brain. 22 year old first overall pick playing at over a point per game pace 29 games into a 5 year (410games) contract. 5th in the NHL in goals since entering the league trailing only ovie pasta mcdavid and kucherov. dumb post. its asinine if you think this is a good trade.
