Overpaying for Fast and as for Pageau idk, like it's probably fair but do you really want to trade Pulujarvi for a rental? Doesn't seem like good asset management to me, I'm thinking Pageau is gonna want to sign with an eastern team if not back with the Sens.

My hope is he's not a rental and would re-sign. I would guess Holland wouldn't even entertain this deal if Pageau didn't sign an extension before acquiring him.

You gotta hope that Holland is smart enough to realize it's not worth dealing solid assets for rentals, the Oilers are doing unexpectedly well but it's still not worth dealing anything higher then a 3rd round pick for a rental imo.

Fair comment, again if there was an extension in place for Pageau prior to making the trade, I think it's a fair trade. But yea if there's no guarantees, I'd be willing to trade a 2nd/3rd at most.

Holland should be looking at a 3rd and some depth/Longshot B-prospect for Namestnikov and if he wants to go a bit bigger try and get Tierney too.

He really should've traded for Fabbri, I was saying it for months and he's looked good for Detroit, Armstrong probably wanted to send Fabbri east though but who knows.

i don't think that will not be enough for JGP if any teams offers a 1st ( and some will), Jesse is considered a bust by 30/31 NHL GMs, and like VGK did when they trade for Stone, they asked him if he would be willing to re-sign/sign with VGK before the trade and he said yes and they pulled the trigger on the trade, EDM can do the same.
