    IDK, there's an argument to be made on both ends. He's barely played NHL games, at season's end he'd be at exactly 100 games assuming he doesn't get injured/scratched. 3M per for the next 6-8 years doesn't sound so bad. Again, argument to be made on both ends.

    OTT would most likely pass and JGP will make around the 5-6M per range.

    5-6M sounds too much for a guy who's never hit the 45 pt mark. Jeeze, but I guess it does make sense for Ottawa to overpay him for a couple years during the rebuild.

    charlie coyle got 5.25m per an d is in the same ballpark in terms of play and points as Pageau

    Charlie Coyle at 0.5 PPG vs. Pageau at 0.41 - they are the same age yet Pageau has played over 100 more games, durability matters as well. Doesn't play with as much physicality as Coyle either. He's a touch below Coyle and should be in the 4 - 5M range.

    what if the cap is not 83.5 Million. I do not think we will know the cap until summer 2020.
