I don’t think you’ll need to give up all of those young players for Palmieri, but he is a good option for the Bruins.

Palmieri will net a 1st I think. And if you think I’m crazy, Rick Nash and Kevin Hayes cost a 1st and they were both rentals

Devils laugh at that offer. A bunch of 3rd liners and a 4th for a 30 goal RW with term. ?

Try a 1st and either Senyshyn or Zboril. Even that might get declined.

Is that really enough for a 30 goals scorer whose signed for another year? And oh by the way when Hall leaves, Palmieri becomes your leading scorer.

He's only hit 30 once and never more than 60 points in a season. I know Skinner didnt have a second year in his contract, but he did have one full season on his contract and only fetched for Pu, a 2nd, 3rd and 6th. Im thinking Senyshyn and maybe 2 second round picks.

The other option is something similar to Brayden Schenn but he was traded in the offseason and had two full years under contract with the Blues. Blues had to overpay with two firsts to also get rid of Lehtera's contract.

He has averaged 29.5 per 82 since joining Devils.

Skinner was a completely different story. Everyone knew Canes had to trade him and he had an NTC which limited where he could go, he blocked a pair of trades according to Canes. Their hands were tied. And they got hosed.

Devils don’t need to trade him. And the market would be a lot better than a Skinner move.

As I said, i doubt they’d even accept a 1st and Seny. It’s not enough.

Nope, which i why i said that might get declined as well. I’d want more if i was them and i know i could get it. 30 goal RWs don’t grow on trees. Honestly he has more trade value than Hall. Hall is a bigger name, but KP is more consistent , is not a rental, and RW market is shallow.

Palmieri is a very good player. That's unquestioned. But again, I don't think he gets a ton in a package. New Jersey would probably Seny, a 1st, maybe an extra piece like a 3rd or 4th, but he won't command a ton. I'm a fan of his and think he's underrated, but isnt considered a game changer by any stretch.

1st, Seny (give them a choice between him or Zboril) and a 3rd or 4th is a package both sides can likely live with. It becomes a matter of making room cap wise. If NJ is interested in moving KP anyway. There has been no mention if his name at all in rumors,

It's a package which isn't small, but also not a huge haul that it looks like an overpay. Sweeney also doesn't love trading 1st round picks so that will be interesting to see.
Haven't seen his name either, but that's not really a surprised giving all the hype around Hall. I think Boston would be smart to go after him, but like you said cap wise it becomes an issue.

They could sweeten the package for retention too. Honestly adding KP in a deal like this would make them Cup favorites for the next 2 years.

It would definitely help them. As a Blues fan whose married to a Bruins fan, id like to see Bruins win when they aren't playing my team.

Lol it wasn't bad until Game 7...she will forever hate Binnington for that one.
