fair bc its been said by MSM guys highly speculate that Hall is going to test UFA regardless of a trade so there is no inflated extension value attached to him

Personally I wouldn't trade for hall, I don't think hes worth it. Nice to add in UFA, but not worth giving up any top asset for the avs right now. They haven't been healthy almost all season. A very solid team despite. being plagued with major injuries. Let them play with a healthy line up for a while before they even think of moving for Hall

Yeah, but I think hall would put COL over the top. This top 9 as constructed is filthy. It makes them serious SC contenders

I really don't think his impact makes or breaks them as a Stanley cup contender...why pay 1st line prices for a guy who would be 4th/5th in fwd TOI (Mack, Landy, Rants, Kadri) when you can get another player who would play in the role he wold be in on the Avs for half the price

Hes a nice to have, but He Is not worth breaking the bank for bc hes not going to be a top line player on the Avs....hes just terrible defensively and he won't play with top line Mack minutes bc of it

if the price is right sure why not, but they do not need to make a move for him at all, no pressure in adding a top 6 fwd right now, so why force a trade when its not necessary

Just add a conditional 1st for resigning and you're basically there.

Acquiring Hall only buries Donskoi/Burakovsky again. Which is exactly what happened to them in SJ and WSH. Sakic brought them in to give them 2nd line minutes because they have the talent to be those guys.
Like Coga said, the Avs have been winning even with their insane injuries this year. Remember at the start of the year when they were all healthy? Basically unstoppable.

I don't think that would be enough. Timmins plus two 1sts would probably do it. Or Byram+1st.

Do you think a move like this would at least put the Avs in Stanley Cup contention?
