i dont think sergachev is worth the offer sheet. you can probably get him from tampa who has cap issues for less like yo did trouba. the value is a little light i think for rakell but close

I mean neither of these make much sense

Rakell is signed for 2 more years after this. Rangers are still in a rebuild. Timeline doesn't work.

Furthermore, Deangelo is outpacing Rakell in points and has significantly more team control, ANA would be the ones adding.

Also Rangers LHD is pretty set with Skjei/Miller/Robertson for awhile.

Interesting.

I think Anaheim might want a little more back for Rakell but I honestly think they’d listen on DeAngelo. Sergachev and Laf would be huge adds too

Would Rangers still be in a rebuild tho if they won the draft and offer sheeted a young top 4 D?
Also neither Miller or Robertson has played a single pro game yet so there’s no guarantee, meanwhile Sergachev has already played a couple of years in the league and is only getting better and better
Rakell is only 26 and has very good chemistry with Zibanejad already from the world championship. The 2 year term is a risk yes, but it only makes his trade value easier to acquire

If Rakell has more term they could get more but with only two more years this upcoming offseason his value is not maximized

laugh laugh I watch Sergachev on a daily basis, No way is he worth $6 million per for 7 years. Maybe $4.5 million at the very most.

Think it makes more sense to trade skjei if u we’re going to get serg I also think while I like rakell as many people said he doesn’t really fit in the time table if they we’re going for a guy like that... might as well make a package and try and go for a nylander type player

Pretty sure the plan is to be good next year, not 3 years down the road!

AGMs get ridiculously amped up on potential hype, it's comical! Serg is looking slow and average, let alone a superstar. Even if/when prospects make it, most players turn into bottom/role/spare players. Skjei and ADa will probably have better careers imo

Think a step further, IF Sergachev is worth 4.5M then giving him a offer sheet at same value it would surely be matched by Tampa. Have to give a few M extra for them not to match

Potential hype? Average? The kid is 21 and is on his third full season in the NHL with 30p and 40p seasons currently playing behind Hedman and McDonagh
Sure he plays in Tampa but consider his age and production so far he’s not average

honestly if sergachev asks for more than Skjei is making i offer skjei one for one, with Lindgren playing well with fox and Miller coming from NCAA along with Rykov and Robertson rangers have a dangerous LHD for years to come
