I just threw up in my mouth when I saw Jack Johnson’s albatross contract. Jarry isn’t a big enough carrot to take that beast on.

We have to watch Gardiner for 4 years, let’s not add Johnson to that.

Jarry is a potential NHL starter and you are sending train-wreck Reimer and a UFA #6D.... and state that the Pens need to add?

Yeah, the Johnson contract is rough, but so is Reimer's, so not all that bad overall. Even with Johnson in there, and because of Reimer being in there, Carolina needs to add, considerably.

Shouldn't CAR fans just want to stop with the HOT NEW backup goalie looking for the real shot at a starting position. I mean Darling, Lack, Mrazek, Reimer, now proposing Jarry?!?! Just pay for a TRUE #1 starting goalie. Why isn't it that simple? It's not like they don't have the assets to do it.

Ok so whos giving up a #1 goalie right now that isnt risky?? Price? no thank you. Rinne? to old. Vasilevsky? Locked up. Gibson? pay an arm and a leg? no thank you. Murray? Bad contract waiting to happen.

Id rather keep taking low risks on goalies, than give up half of what we have developed the past however long.

IMO Goalies dont deserve over 10 million, let alone 8 mil. Hot take.

Train wreck Reimer has put together a few stellar games as of late. hopefully he can continue

Lehner or Crow? Crow's more of a gamble due to injury history, but really should cost less and he's playing pretty darn good despite having a terrible defense in front of him.

***EDIT*** Let's look at Team Save % in order. BOS, AZ, NYI, DAL, STL, WPG, CHI. Why in the world is the last place team (in the west after tonight...my not so hot take) in 7th for Team Save % next to ALL playoff contenders. Both Lehner and Crow are playing really good hockey.

Yeah would love Lehner tbh.. Ive made a few ACGMs about him, but chicago fans were quick to hound me.
