I don't think Mitts is a bust but I also think his ceiling is that of maybe a 3C. If some other team has a higher perceived value of him and the Sabres can get a GOOD top 6 forward with term, I'd move Mitts in a heartbeat.

Idk, I think he can be a stud behind Eichel in that 2C spot. His hands are nasty, but it seems like everyone is so low on him all of a sudden.

He has been given sheltered minutes with poor wingers for pretty much his whole time as a center. He was basically centering a 3rd line while getting 4th line minutes. His numbers arent impressive, obviously. I see similarities with mittelstadt and reinhart- both have great hands, neither are physical or particularly fast. With that skill set, moving to a wing on a line where somebody else can make space for you, thats probably a good idea to get on track. Hes not a one man wrecking crew, he needs help, and i think getting him room will greatly improve his counting numbers, which should back other teams fans off of the buy low stuff you see here.
