That would make the Islanders legit cup contenders for sure. Kinda worried about all the futures headed the other way

I don't think it'll cost you that much to get Hall tbh

Inter-division figured there would be a premium. I'm also shedding Uncle Leo. So I figured Isles need to pony up a bit. Even as a rental, I'd do it.

Wilde is definitely the best piece moving. I'm not overly concerned about the futures just because they're such unknown quantities. Isles have a deep farm system and a team that's so close to being a bonafide cup contender. They deserve a little help from management to push them over the top

I agree. I also think that they would have a decent shot at retaining Hall. New building, solid young core, good coach and system.

So if Hall is worth Wilde + Bellows + 1st + conditional 1st. Surely Kreider is worth a 1st + Wilde.... that works.

I'd counter with Bellows as the prospect. Hall > Kreider by a wide margin. Though I am not a fan of Kreider (has nothing to do with the fact he's a Ranger lol. I just hate the way he plays). Kreider is prob worth a 1st and B prospect as a rental. Wilde is like A- range

I mean it just doesn't make sense logically though,

This is going back to Hall's Hart season. You get more recent and that small gap gets smaller.

I mean once you include the possession and defensive and shot generation numbers, that gap gets pretty small...

hall-kreids

Again, the difference here you're saying is a conditional 1st + Wilde, That's almost like saying Hall is worth 2 Kreiders....which, (as you see from the all the data) just doesn't make logical sense.

Both Pageau and Hall would be great. Realistically, I don't think the NYI land either. Lou hasn't made a single move in the trade market besides Martin 2 years ago. I don't think he goes full blown Columbus from last year mortgages a lot of future for 2 guys who can walk.
I think they do finally do something this year. I think Trotz will finally get his ear and say enough is enough with guys like Dal Colle, Johnston and Kuhnhackl in their top 9. I just think it's for cheaper, easier to control players. Or an impending UFA that won't cost high end to land. Something like Derek Grant from Anaheim or Toffoli from LA. A mid round pick and B level prospect probably lands them.

hmmm interesting, curious what the facts say....

kreids-hall-this-year

oh right they're basically the same lol.

In fact, weirdly enough goal scorers tend to be worth more than playmakers at the deadline.

Nobody cares about your fancy stats... Kreider literally only has 3 more goals than Hall and 9 less points. Do your silly stats tell you anything about who is helping there team more considering the teams circumstances? I can tell you right now if Hall was on NYI he would have over 30 points right now... Kreider has only gotten over 25 goals twice in his career. That's not very significant.

Quick note: Grabbing advanced stats from a website and pasting it here does not make you look smart.

Hall also missed over half of last season. I think the gap would widen again should he have had suited up for all those additional games

All of these are rate stats. So him being out doesn't matter in the measurement. It only counts their effectiveness when they're on the ice, which last year was a pt/gm pace.

I don’t think it takes that much to get hall, and i don’t think this makes the islanders cup contenders.

New Jersey would be crazy to turn that offer down.

Nicely conceived.
