Yeah, the think is, MB would never trade neither of Suzuki, Romanov, Caufield or Primeau because of the impact they'll have in a near futur. Caufield will be on his ELC while Hall (who might regress production wise (if not hurt)) will earn 10m+... I mean, considering how good Caufield might be, it really doesn't worth it for MTL.

Ya i would say add a 2nd and this is fair, I just don’t see why Montreal would do it.

Uhhhh why wouldn’t it be stone? Premier winger traded at a young age as a pending UFA. Stone is the better player, sure, but they’re pretty darn close.

Right as players, but it's all relative to market and who's the gm. Last year had 8 top 6 F's traded. A completely oversaturated market. Carl Hagelin got the same compensation as Ben Lovejoy. And Pierre Dorion is terrible at this....look at the Karlsson deal lol.

Last year was a ridiculous market and it's apparently thrown everyone off. With less than a handful of top 6 F's on the market, the bidding is probably going to be crazy.

I'd expect something similar to what Duchene got with slightly better prospects. 1st + cond 1st + top 80 prospect + top 100 prospect.

That would mean something like 1st + cond 1st + Poehling + Brook/Romanov
