This is what will happen

Created by: IslesTime

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Not much... If things go sideways tonite, I expect the lines to be shuffled and Ladd brought back up. I would hate to see this but based on Lou's lack of moves and Trotz preference to play vets, I just dont see them doing anything significant to shake things up.

Would really like to see Staal, Bonino or Pageau but doubt they pull any triggers.

Lou admitted that he failed at the trade deadline last season - but in his defense, he was still in evaluation mode. I have a really hard time believing Lou will stand pat again. It's evident that this team needs another piece.

When you have toews, Barzal, pulock making a combined 3.6 mill this season, you need to go for it. Anything short of a conference finals appearance would be a failure of a season. They need to build off of last season and there are holes that need to be addressed

Isles have assets to move, its not like they have a shortage of trade pieces. 1st rd pick, bellows, wilde, Aho etc.

I am with you... Fingers crossed he can pull something off. His last significant trade was when he traded himself to the Leafs...

I know that there are some fans that say "Lou said it's a 5 year plan" , be patient. There is no better time to go for it than this season. Things change, and the teams that make deep playoff runs take risks. I'm not saying they need to go for hall, but they need to address their problems externally. Boston doesn't qualify for the SCF is they didn't add Johansen and Coyle last season, blues don't make it if they didn't add Ryan oreilly.

I agree with this. It sounded like he went hard for Mark Stone and came up short. I think he'll start hitting doubles and triples and go a little less for home runs.

He didn’t want to include Dobson for Mark stone or pay him what he wanted.

There’s a lot of guys they could go for : zucker, Saad, toffoli, Ennis, namestnikov, pageau, Ryan strome, Wayne Simmonds.

Martin, dal colle, and komarov should be fighting for one spot.
