Vejdemo

Created by: Eli
Team: 2019-20 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 5, 2019
Published: Dec. 5, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Is off to a good start in Laval. Doesn't necessarily mean anything, because he's already 23, and the Habs have a half dozen better centers around that age.

Washington doesn't. Any chance he could be available? And what would head back? Thanks!
Trades
MTL
  1. Boyd, Travis
  2. Clark, Kody
  3. Djoos, Christian
  4. Johansen, Lucas
  5. Lewington, Tyler
  6. Sutter, Riley
Additional Details:
Maybe something around one of these guys? Some are worth more and some are worth less than Vejdemo, but either way, nothing a 3rd round pick couldn't balance.

Its an interesting thought, im not sure if it would be worth a trade for Montreal at the moment. Vejdemo is, as far as I can tell right now, at best a 4th line center in potentially the next couple of years but is already 23 as you mentioned above. Perhaps Djoos would be of interest, however Julien probably wouldn't like him due to his defensive game. Sutter or Clark may be the best options, however they only have 4 games each in the AHL this year? Not sure whats thats about but they are Right handed wingers with size that Montreal lacks at the moment. If they put up a bit more numbers, I could see them both Sutter and Clark being an option for Montreal.

I don't know that much about Johansen value. But i'd argue that Mtl would want him. Young LD with size could be what they are looking.

Thanks.

What's the matter with Barber, though? smile

edit: Teasing, but I'd guess Barber and Vejdemo get you Djoos, easily, right now?

I don't know much either. He's a year younger than Vejdemo and was picked higher, but he's injured right now, which isn't helping him make a case for the NHL spot next fall that I'm still optimistically pencilling him in for.

ETA: I think in terms of value, Vejdemo is worth more now than when he was picked in the 3rd round, and Sutter and Clark, until they get some ice time, are falling.

So possible values might look like:

Clark or Sutter plus a 4th for Vejdemo,
Djoos for Vejdemo and a 4th.
Johansen for Vejdemo and Leskinen?

Laval got off to a slow start this year, similar to last year. He is currently sitting at 14 points in 19 games and 3rd on the team. Im hoping Laval picks it up in the upcoming couple weeks, they are 4-4-2 in their last 10 and sit 3rd in their division but have played more games than anyone else in their division aswell.

Teasing, because MTL signed him away from the Caps this summer. Yeah, he's doing great. Happy to see it.

No way MTL gives away Leskinen. They value him high
